Anyone noticed how many of these Ryper has sold lately? Anyway, with their popularity, has anyone done a mod on them yet? I am seriously eyeing out a better ESC and a 12-14 turn motor for mine. Any ideas?
Ps, when is there going to be a new race class for these anyway :D I'm in!

BX or ST?
and from what i understand they take standard 1/10 gear so it wouldnt be a mod as such more an upgrade and would be easy as hell to do.
check the US rc forums or even the duratraxx forum as they have a good following in the US.
i like the look of the BX buggy though :) would be good for a cheapy.

I got the ST, they seem to be more popular and handle a bit better. But value wise, and with that 1 yr warranty on plastic bits, you can't really lose. Straight out of the box, they're quicker than most RTR on roads and off roads.

Stadium Truck - There is a class at most clubs now (Carine, West Coast, Rypers, Bunbury). They run modified motors so no limit on winds/turns.
It's a great class for racing, the trucks are more forgiving than the buggys (and tend to slide better too ;) )

Great, with the included 20 Turn Saturn motor, I'm likely to come, well... LAST!

as for parts, i believe the ST is simular to the older losi XXT (arms and other parts are interchangable)..
Head to Ryper this sunday morning at 9ish, Matto and I will be there carving up off road :) the more the better
