man this isnt easy.
soak em in acetone? boil them in water?
how do i get off-road tyres off rims. i just cut one off, and there's like a tonne of glue in em that is damn hard to get out.
considering just bining the rims and buying new ones, probably easier..
?

Acetone. Leave them in acetone for around 24 hours, after that they'll just peal off. Using a rag soaked in acetone finish the clean off (there will be bits of glue in the bead channel on the rim)
I have a pile of Losi buggy rims/tires if your interested.

acetone doesn't eat rims with a high content of nylon in them.
I found out the hard way about Proline Monter rims ... they look really funky now (i'll take a photo later)

I tried to rip the rubber off a set of stock glued rims for the rc18t. Ended up with lots of stuck rubber in the beads. So I boiled them for 15minutes in a water filled wok. Let them cool and then used a small flat head screwdriver to peel the excess rubber off. It came off easily once I got the tip of the screwdriver under the rubber, as the glue is hard and brittle.

this is big brother.
use a file to file off the rubber stuck to the rim.

f*ck using a file.
I'm told boiling water to peel the tyre off the rim (if you want to keep the tyre), and then acetone over night and the glue just comes off...

Just drop them in Acetone *period*. That's tire and all. Don't worry about the acetone going black, it will still do the job (one sealed bottle did me a whole year)
well guys do you want the good news or bad news, the bad news is i @#%@@up my speedy last night, the good news is there is a chemical you can get from a plumbing stoer that cleans tyres off rims no worries. strips them bare, no shit. but the stuff leaves the rims a little red. but it works awesome. if you leave them in too long you will melt the rim as well. trial and error is a bitch.... if anyone is interested pm me and i can find out the name of it.it is not cheap but leaves acetone for dead.

you could try using CA debonder. don't know how well the stuff works. i have been told it turns the CA in a soft snot like substance temporarly and you can then scrape the rims clean
