View Full Version : show of interest: who wants to come to bunbury for a race day?
james, myself and bowling ball (paul) are keen to head to bunbury's off road track for a race day. theyre held every second sunday. its electric only and cater for buggys, stadium trucks and emaxx's.
james and i are thinking of going down the day before (on the saturday) and getting some cheap accomodation with the intention to drink beers while prep'ing cars + charging batterys. its pretty much an excuse to drink beers.
you dont have to come down the day before, its just a crazy idea we had.
could i see who might be interested in coming to bunbury for a race day please? just a show of interest at this stage.

I'd look at it, crash at my folks joint in Mandurah, so you can count 2 1:10 elec's in (myself and my girlfriend each have Duratraxx ST's)

you'll summersault it all over the place :)
I'll bring my mini-T and buggy most likely :)
can someone provide pics of the whole track? i wanna get an idea on gearing, not that we're going to be doing any 'serious' racing.... haha or are we racing? who cares... i read somewhere 'beers' thats good enough for me. we'll turn the hotel/appt room into an r/c pit and drinking ground. we're gonna milk the power supply like there is no tommorow mwahaha
ive got pics from the interclub there a few months back. its a loooong track, similar to west coast.

Golumn. I've got a few questions for ya which might be of interest to others.
#1 How many heats do you's normally run for each class?
#2 How long are the heats for the nitro's and electric?
#3 Do you have a final? If so, how do you qualify and how long is it?
#4 What sorta turn out do you get on the day for MT's and 1/8ths?
also when is the next _official_ race meet on? in a private message golumn said that sunday just gone by was an "unofficial meet". if you could let us know when the proper race days are on, i'll be keen to go ahead and set a date for the perthies to head down.
uuurrggh! im struggling to get this organised, i just cant get info on when bunbury will have a proper race meet (use of transponders, good turnout, etc)
can anyone help with this info?
hey do you know the dimensions of that track?
looks like a nice track
I might build one :D

1. We usually run 3 qual`s and a final
2. Usually 5 min runs, but can accomodate longer finals for nitro
3. your best Qual determains the starting order.
4. on average we get 4-7 MT's and between 5-15 in 1/8ths
4.
