HEY ALL.

Time to Battle!!!!

this is the second of the RC/Drift Battle events.
the first event was kind of a 'get to know ya' sort of thing...
...this event will be RACING! [and endless drifting]
we have a battle system of scoring in testing, based on the
Tsuiso method of D1, two battle, and change leads each heat
and will be trying it out this meet. yes we're D1 geeks.
(see: http://drifting.com/d1_grand_prix.php)

ALL welcome.

please post frequencies on teamadrenaline.net forums
or in 'northern drifting' thread, under the drifting section of the forums.

for more up to date information & previous event videos goto:

hanging out for this :D leaving the brushless in the land missile for a laugh. i should be the exhibiton drift... how not to do things.

i was thinking of getting some plastic bowling pins and attempting brushless drifting bowling mini-game... Matt gets cedit for the idea !silly

mitchster
02-08-2005, 12:01 PM
dave, do u mean your 1/18th?
enter as many 1:10 scale cars as u like......but1:18's will get BATTLECRUSHED!

opAsx, i'm hoping my TC3 should arrive for the event, if so.....
you can use my AE86 belt slinger.....when the brushless demos get too much. ;-)

i must admit, if i was grip racing.....brushless is the go. period. A-Maaazing.
talk about impressed with performance. i'm still waking up in a cold sweat....yerks!

opAsx
02-08-2005, 12:16 PM
hehe.

im going to buy one of those yokomo drift kits in a couple of weeks and use a much slower motor for it :D

i will bring a spare motor and ESC in case i get totally fed up with the hacker :D

mitchster
02-08-2005, 12:32 PM
opasx-dude, my advice......stay away from 'drift' packages.
yes....i know those yokomo body kits are SIK! but, you can order just the body kit,
http://www.ozshops.com/cgi-bin/RT_Resp.cgi?application=radio
and get a better chassis off of ebay. with the standard kit.....it is very basic,
with mucho need for bearings etc. there is a guy here selling the V. rad SSG chassis
[but needs parts] in the classifieds....bit expensive tho.

yah i saw that too and thought it was a bit more than i am willing to pay. id rather buy new when looking at that sort of money and do it myself.

cheers for the body link :)

a track layout, which we have been testing, and.....it rocks!
lemme know what you think.
it looks very basic......but is a trick and a half to drive fast on.

mitchster
02-08-2005, 07:28 PM
prefix - the track will be big, but we didn't measure the area,
so exact figures will come on race day.
i might have a go trying to figure out......it's all just working out
what works good for everyone...which is hard, so any input would be great.
we have worked out, we love the tricky driving involved with a chicane into
a 180º......braking and booting. ;-)

mitchster
02-08-2005, 07:30 PM
matt......NO FRICKIN WAY! thats insane..........are u sure man?
i love it, it's bloody huge!

WOW! thanks dude.

trq steer
02-08-2005, 07:36 PM
its not as big as it looks its like 270 mm tall + i have plenty more where that came from

i was going to donate most of them to some 1 anyway

and i cant imagine a better sport than drift to pass it on to

Prefix Suffix
02-08-2005, 08:19 PM
Just going off the dimensions of your drawing, the track might flow a bit better if you made the entry to turn one wider then the turn 2 hairpin a bit deeper. That said i have no idea of the size of the real track so it might be fine. What were you going to mark the track with?

Cheers
Jack

trq steer

electical cords and witches hats + whatever mitch had planed
