UPDATE, this event is going ahead...

The track will be open for practise this Saturday 10th from 9:30am then close about 4.00pm for maintance for the event.

This is the very first race event to be held on the new surface. If you havent already entered please ring dave at Ryper on 94941822 to register as we would like to not have to take entries on the day as we want to get straight into it.

UPDATE, went to the track yesterday, it was hammering down rain, and the track was just loving the rain "bring it" i could hear the track squeeling... With the track being sealed it's like immune to rain! hehe.

Forecast says the showers are moving to "late sunday" which means it might completely miss the event! score and fingers crossed!

Cya's sunday for some very interesting racing, a completely level playing field (new track) :)

How they going to get water into the track durring summer? If its clay, it will crack badly without some moisture put back into it.

The sealant is something-crete... not bondcrete however.

I dont know how it all works, but it's the latest shiz. maybe it breaks down after a few race meets and requires re-applying, dunno. ask George on Sunday... all I care is that the surface is good for racing, I'm worried it's going to be damn slippery. It was like 'wax' to touch when it was first layed and rolled... hrmm time will tell

Hmm Might be down there to practise tomorrow instead of bashing then. Spending most of tonight setting up the Maxx. What time will you be there for practise?

elec only yes.

BB, I'll hopefully be there for around 2pm. I believe track is closing at 4pm so the rest of the evening can be spent doing more prep work.

there's still LOADS to do, more pipe needs fitting, the pipe and new concrete needs painting, etc, etc. will be interesting to see how the track goes. It's hard to tell, no one has used it! people are saying X2000's for buggy, we'll see ;) I'm sure holeshots or simular will still be good
