It's next to Alcoa, corner of cockburn and rockingham rd, I think. right in that bit of corner land/bush. it stinks of sulpher through there... you know the spot :)
ideally 1/8th nitro track, but initial impressions are that it would be a better suited track for elec racing.
the surface is dirt, cleared, raked, slightly compacted, 1/10th elec actually goes okay on it. 1/8th nitro buggy/truck even better.
I believe the organiser/builder's name was Phil. He works at Alcoa, he has approval to use the land (alcoa's land) to build the track. He also mentioned the building of an asphalt on-road track.
Phil says if there are enough interested people, electric racing would be a goer... so basically if people want to rock up to race, they will run an elec class.
It's great that there is another track south of the river, infact the only nitro track south of the river... :)

wow another track that might not get effected by the rain, sounds really good and another nitro/electric on road sounds even better

well, it rained all sunday morning, we went down to find this new track, and it was excellent (with the rain making the ground even more firm)...
only issue I have with the place, is the mosquito's are the size of small birds. hahaha
here's a quick scribble of the layout, hard to draw i spose, put it this way, it's massive. the square is a table top, the lines are jumps or doubles.

well in the old days we didnt use clay we had sand mixed with oil, scary i know, and this was at bayswater and the rain didnt have a negative affect on the track but made it better

I dunno about this... rockingham is closing due to a lack of numbers, yet here are people building a new track in kwinana, whats going on? Doesn't make sense.

Is it your track is it?
I was there on that sunday and there was nothing that you mrntioned . Am I missing something or you just dont want people using it.
Its a track designed for RC and your saying nitro can not go on it . Why not? There is no residental properties nearby so noise wouldnt be an issue
nitro's might ruin the track i think? rip it up or something, I'm not too sure about track care tho :P

we're talking the Kwinana track, and it's a primary NITRO 1/8th track, for NITRO r/c... when we all rocked up some time ago, there were NO elecs there, only nitro buggy and MT.
so just incase some people are still confused...
