awesome action photos.

My digi camera sucks at action photos cos theres like 0.5 second delay beween when you hit the button, and when it takes the picture, and by then you've missed it lol

BB took E-Maxx TOP Qualifier and 1ST place
Matt took Stock Buggy 3rd Place

Great race day, yesterday. I had an absolute ball drifting the Maxx round the track.

It was even better when I got a fresh new plate to have my dinner on last night ;)

Well done to James (TA got a win in!) - Your a hot ticket for the States!

Event was ok, I thought that the marshalling needs to be better coordinated, I marshalled most events and it was disappointing to see the race I ran had nearly noone helping out. The photographer was a good idea, but he seemed to focus too much on a few events, where are the Stock truck and 4wd stock pics? Be fair, we all can't afford big buck cars, so lets keep every class in the pics, and not revert to elitism in what is meant to be a fun hobby!

Kingbob isn't a photographer, he's an r/c enthusiast who races sometimes, and likes to take pictures of r/c other times. The photo's he takes are for himself, personally, if he desires he shares the pictures with some forums and racers. Maybe also full CD's of racing pictures too!

Kingbob has no affiliation with Ryper at all, and sat there in the mud for his own enjoyment :)

I'm sure he took hundreds if not thousands of pictures during the event, and chose a select bunch to upload (action pictures, etc)

I couldnt believe how many evader trucks were racing in truck stock, it was amazing, like a colony of evaders! EVADING! haha.. good to see everyone going hard, there were some spectacular crashes thats for sure! !super

maybe you should PM kingbob and see if he has any pics of any stock truck racing.

Yeah, costly outing for me, final race the 3 bolts in the gearbox housing stripped out and dumped, no idea how that happened, I've never touched them! That after a busted shock tower in the second race. Wasn't my day!

ouchies. I lukily only stuffed a motor, and I'm not sure why exactly, it wasnt that hot, and didnt smell, something strange with the comm. I 'might' have put too much TRIBO on the comm before the race, dont know.. :(

you quickly learn whilst racing that throttle control is a big key to success. (not that i know much about success I rarely win races), I still have a lot to learn about throttle myself. I usually play my racing safe, and just drive through the track to finish, without falling off if possible. When starting out in r/c, most people assume big throttle will get them to the finish line first... definately not the case :) it's a matter of practice practice practice!!

I took something like 700 photos yesterday, did delete a load while there that weren't good, ended up with 359. And nexxus, I took photos during all classes, I just didn't take the same classes every round. Of the 360 I ended up with, as usual not all were the best, and as it turned out I don't think there were any decent pics of stock truck, but there are stock 4wd pics.

Corey got a 3rd James in 4wd with much thanx to BB for his help. We may need it again in 2 weeks LOL.
Not a bad effort for the 1st time the car has been run on the track. Same effort as you James, thinks we may have destroyed or cooked a motor.

James

Oh and well done to Corey :) yeh, first race meet with the new 4wd buggy! nice job. Hope to have mine this week... I think watching people change their tyre choice several times was rather entertaining! Trying to get the best grip...

I killed a motor too, but should be able to fix it. we will see! Probably going to buy a couple of new ones for the states too !whistle

Very well done to Corey. It was his first time out with the 4wd, had teething troubles, and still won a place! This time next year we're gonna have to resort to sabotage to beat him ;)
