View Full Version : the Emaxx saga
so WAORMA rules state only brushed motors and the Emaxx class this weekend became a support class.
how do we have the rules ammended to allow brushless for Emaxx?
i was told that the proceedure is to put it to your club and have them vote on if they should apply to WAORMA. then, allow WAORMA deligates to vote. if they vote positive then the rule is changed.
i assume there is 100% from every Emaxx owner/driver on this site. how does the ball get rolling??

I believe it already is. Maxxd Out was the one who originally wrote the emaxx rules, As a West Coast comittee member, and WAORMA delegate, he has it well in hand. I heard him ask today to have a meeting to discuss this very issue.
Kinda sucky though, the maxxs have been brushless for ages!

Hey Ya matt
You got it in 1
The rules have always stated that no BL power plants are permitted to run in any WAORMA event across any class including the MT class.
The unwritten rule's will be descussed in great lenths tommorrow with all the maxx drivers who will be making a proposal to WAORMA for the changes that are well overdue.
Todays result was in part caused buy 1 of the maxx who didnt abide by one of those unwritten rules
A)if you run a BL you must only run with 12 cells
After his car was screwtenized it was pointed out to him that he was running with 14cells,witch meant that he was disqualified from that race .
At this point he informed the steward that none of the maxx's were legal, pointing out that they all wrer running BL power plants .
And well the rest is history a hole class was disqualified from the state titles.

I personally think the e-maxx class is one of the most important classes at an event. I mean, how awesome are they to watch!? hahaha absolutely insane watching 7 e-maxxes charging around the track all at once... HUGE! I got some great laughs thats for sure...
i just found this thread so apologies for the late reply. as for the unwritten rules, it was made quite clear to maxd out that are no such things as unwritten rules. otherwise there would be no reason to have waorma or any other type of governing body. also if you think that darren had it well in hand kingbob why have waorma been waiting 18 months or so for some rules. and if your going to make a proposal with all the maxx drivers then i suggest you invite all the drivers.and slylux next time you call me something on the net, have the nuts to say it to my face ......

Bazza, you knew yourself that BL motors were illegal so why did you bother to run with one @ the states, that being said we also had the discussion the night before that there was an “unwritten rule that this was ok with the MT drivers but not with 14 cells which is what I strongly advised you against running with however if challenged the current rules which have been effective since 31 August 2003 would apply regardless, you however chose to ignore my advise and the other MT drivers.
You also obviously have no idea about facts; 1) current rules with WAORMA have been effective 31/08/03. 2) all the MT drivers were invited to review the rules that afternoon but you had already left. However had you also read the team TA site you would have also known about the meeting but the drivers that actually take the time to develop and build the class made an effort rather than destroy it with arrogance. Equally if you have something to say to me, say it to my face. Happy to discuss any time.

"I came, I saw and I shook my head"
The rules have now been re-written and resubmitted. The Submitted rules cover brushless specifications. The new rules also stipulate - 12 cells maximum.
The rule changes were done mostly on my part. I got alot of input from everyone and then researched. I submitted the rules for adoption at the last interclub. After spending $2500 for the state titles and then have it all shot down in flames "Priceless"
If any of the Maxx drivers want to have a cry, please redirect your web browsers to --> http://www.haveacry.com and have a good look and hard think about the random photo the website shows.
My $0.02
bb what makes you think i havent spent any money. i have spent alot more on emaxxes than that.darren look at the date i became a member, how could i have read this site if i wasnt on the net.you say i have no ideas about the facts, i was there when peter suckling said waorma had been waiting nearly two years for the changes to the rules.p s , dont give me your si;lly bable about arrogance and building and developing the class. i know someone who wasnt allowed to run the states that year , who had lent machinery to the club and spent just as much as anybody else , if not more . because he hadnt done enough interclubs. then someone new walks in and can run. whack that in your pipe and smoke it any way you want........

ive never raced rc in my life dont intend to but why the strict rules cant there be a stock class and a mod and have it stock class go as far as u can with stock gear and mod class mod it to ur hearts content and see how far u get without gong to say the new nitrous systems or superchargers? i mean rc is only fun dont treat it like a life or die type of sport enjoy it dont destroy it, since the mainstream and we all know it no matter how far we r in denial consider it as toys so chill brushless or brushed let the better man win i heard they both have advantages and disadvantages when compared to each uther i mean u can have a rocketship of a moter but it wont be no good if u cant get hook up or if u have a good motor with to much hook up thats what the mod class should be all about if u run it in stock sure i can see there being a breach but if its a support class its just that a support class let it fly and get on to ur game.
