Crew,

The 2005 AARCMCC electric 1/10 and 1/12 on-road national championships is coming FAST!

This year the event is being hosted by Ryper Hobbies. As I type this the track is being extended and the layout changed, to be completed before this event!

Download the Entry form! (attached)

Even if your not into on-road, or you are but dont plan to race, get down to the event and check it out. See Australia's BEST battle it out. There's a lot of eastern state and possibly some international racers coming for this one!!

Any prequisites to enter? Is there a class for us L plate hack drivers?

If your a member of an AARCMCC affliated club (like ryper) then you could probably enter, to be honest I'm not sure, and have asked others the same question myself (waiting for replies).. not that I could race on-road, i suck at it. haha

I just asked Dave @ Ryper he said I'd be fine to enter, I may blutac some L plates on my car to be safe though :)

as far as I know there's only the three classes. stock, mod, and 1/12th pan. with all the entries no doubt there will be a lot of qualifying and re-grades. should be fun. If I get an on-road car before the entry cut off date, I may consider it.. run stock.. give Daniel a hard time !devil

I'm just wondering how many races my girlfriend's car holds up, she's a 100% novice and I skipped the hack cars / sports tuned stage, she has a Yoko drift with a Monster Stock in there. Could be interesting.

no problem, just tune the susp for asphalt and get some good tyres on it.

While I am keen to start doing some on-road racing, off-road has my heart. I really love getting 'air', and there's just something cool about r/c thrashing in dirt/clay. hehe.

Other problem is, if I raced both off and on-road, my missus would never get to see me, ever, hahaha.

come summer, I'll be racing offroad fri nights, and sunday mornings...

anyway, back on topic.. if anyone has any questions regarding this event, contact David at Ryper Hobbies.

Oh come on I did that like twice in my first race and then I learnt, I can disable reverse on my onroader anyway so I'll do that
