Here she is, sorry no build pics this time, it's almost identical build to the XXX-4 anyway! :)
I just need to glue the tyres, paint the shell and fit electronics :)

BB, over east ;) brand spankers...
I wanna get 64 pitch gears/pinions, more springs, more wheels, tyres, rah rah..
I dont know much about on-road racing, so i have a lot to learn. I used to have the TB-02 as a drifter, but got this to do some propper racing at Ryper. I'm going to enter the nationals, despite being a n00b to on-road.. haha. it's all for FUN!
This car is a fairly old design now, I think 3 or 4 yrs, and from what i read it takes a lot of work to get it competative against xray's and yokomo's.. but I got it very cheap, so it's all just for fun. It's so simular to the XXX-4g+ that it's not funny hehehe.. pretty easy to work on, etc. I like Losi gear, so went for this beasty. the JRX-S looks v'nice and is their latest, but $$$ and probably overkill for a n00b like me at this stage :)
I've fitted it with a .08 hitec servo, a JR RS310 receiver, and about to plonk my novak GTX in.. (the servo and gtx were in the XXX4, but the XXX4 is broken from sunday's ryper meet.. so it can go in the on-roader til I fix the XXX4, etc)
new wiring on the GTX, so it suits this car and the XXX-4 better (as the cars have the exact same batt/motor/esc position as each other).. will be easy to move the GTX between the two cars to race. Unfortunately I dont have the money to buy more GTX's at this stage, at $250'ish a pop.
Got a LOT to learn down at Ryper regarding tyres and basic setup.. I'll annoy the guys down there for some hints/tips on coming sundays. I believe the new track will be ready for it's first race meet this sunday :)

May I suggest a nickname change to TeamLosi?
All you need now is an LST, and another Mini-T...and your collection will be complete ;)

Ahhhh same motor as me i see there James,
Let me give you your first hint.... get rid of those tyres!
They will slip all over the place! go to ryper or phc and ask for some "foamies" looking about $36 all up for all 4, ask for 37 compound front and rear, 37 will go down quite quickly but will provide HEAPS of traction! some may say 40 on the rear and 37 on the front up to you i can't get much traction with the xray so i just bought 37 on both sets. but definately get the foamies!!

wow, shiney!! hahaha.. actually turned out really nice in the one colour.. with just some of the kit stickers on it. there's heeeeaps more stickers, but I dont like going too crazy with them... :)
Chrysler body shell design is being drawn up at the moment by JCart Racing.. should be something to show for concourse at the nats! :)
neat and tidy, i like it :D
good job

Brushless??? LOL, dude no offence but you could barely finish a race with a stock motor!

I used to have the TB-02 as a drifter, but got this to do some propper racing at Ryper.
just catching up on this thread,
i recall some dude came 4th at nationals with a TB02 and there was a sh@# load of carbon fibre behind it !lol
hey i'm not having a dig, you did darn well, and if you had started on-road 6 months earlies who knows what you could have done.

Lol I aint about to try and race full throttle here, my plan is to set it at say 50-60% throttle, get good there, then bump it up gradually. I aint about to try and go straight from a Stock hack to running a 5.5 turn at FULL SPEED, thats just asking for issues!

!lmao the velocity 5.5 = 7turn brushed motor performance, ultra ultra ultra hardcore. I spose you have 'room to move', set your xs3 to 30% throttle to start with haha, and program the GTB for low low low lowwwwww
I'm jealous that you have that system, I gotta check that sh1t out. v'nice, heard good things. and no motor maintenance for youuuuuuuu
If you want to buy some more tyres, with more grip, in better condition than those, let me know, I have five sets (two sets of CS-27, three sets of CS-22). I'll sell them for $30 a set, thats rims+tyres, they were only used at the nats. cost me $50 a set..
