I don't see how you be able to properly use one of these at a skate park... Too low, no suspension travel etc...
hahah guess you havent tried it, OzD1RC got about 4 foot off the table top that i smashed my rim on. they get siiiik air, plus ground is nice and powdery so you car dift wiked
have you got any action pics?? piccies of these on-road cars drifting through a corner?
i would have from sunday only jim is tooooo slow to take pics..... hahahaha and my camera batteries were in my rc controller so cant take pics and drive
It's not PVC is it James?
Matto, ABS is a compound used for irrigation piping. You get some 50mm stuff(for touring cars) and cut it up to fit the rim.
Here's a video of a Pro3 with tape around the wheels in the wet. http://www.rcpics.net/img/11473 That's my Pro3 BTW when the previous owner had it.
I've got a few more of his vids on my computer if you guys want to see it.
Found more vids, http://www.frequency-rc.com/portal/home/ These guys drift on ABS.

hahaha Jai i cleared the half pipe by about 4 ft if u remember from the table top and landed on the flat ground so all in all was around 13-14 ft from ground and kept on goin hahaha ( no broken wheels either ) hahaha.....
Here is a pic of a new wheel n tyre combo im workin on..... hows the dish on these sukkers...
Gonna use my special recipie and have a groove machined into it then use a square section O'ring for that little bit o grip needed to gain a bit more control for linking corners better.

these wheels/tyres combo sounds interesting. If you can get a good solution simular to what yokomo are doing with the ring's, that'd rock, only of course longer wearing and home-made = cheaper to run. I dont know how long the yokomo's will last.
ps. made your avatar a tad smaller, was massive before :)
I heard the yokomos with the rings don't last long at all, 20 runs or so for each set of rings.
yea and they only cost $25-$35 bucks a pair... its suck a waste of money..... i rekon ross starts cranking out the drift specials for $20 a set.... hahah why not?
that wheel i smashed.... i have now fixed using a special wheel repair device. mmmwwaaahhhaaahhhaaaaa
