Thats actually an O.S. rotary aircraft engine, in a custom 1/8 scale tourer!

I cant get over how nicely done that conversion is !amazed

To top it off, it has a Mazda 787B LeMans shell on it!!

is it rotary is in piston or rotor rotary?

Those Le Mans Mazda were sweet. Did they have 20B rotaries like the Cosmo's?

agree about the conversion, looks almost OEM!

The 787B had a peripheral ported 26B quad rotor in it.

This was available through Mazda as a listed part number, but only if you had $110,000 available!!! I know because I enquired...I used to own an RX7 :)

Its a rotary engine as in a proper wankel engine....O.S. is the only RC manufacturer to build a wankel engine.

Also, those 2 fuel tanks you see there arent both fuel tanks....one is a water tank for the radiator.

The engine is fully water cooled!

i wonder what it will rev to, because as we all know, a real life rotary screems its tits to the upper RPM range.

i wonder if it sounds like a real life rotarty too? bbrrr.....brrrr......bbrrr.....bbrrrr.

The only thing I do wonder about is its top speed...

Everyone knows that rotary engines are revvers, but that engine only revs in comparison to other plane engines IE it hits 18,000rpm maximum.

But the torque/power is probably so awesome they can run high gearing in the second gear
