a wrap up of racing for this year

today was the last day of racing at the Ryde track in sydney. racing was only 2 rounds with a final. i came second in the B class, Jason pipped me riiiiiiiight at the end of the race to lap me. it was an awesome finish.

racing is now finished for me until late jan 2005

this is my setup. i bought myself a foldout table with foldout chairs attached. best $40 investment.

the end of the day was done with a caravan race. a caravan had to be made from a shoebox (2ltr milk containers allowed ha-ha) and the object is to bash the caravan from the other cars and keep yours attached as long as possible. loads of fun! heres some pix...

that red car is a new class of car coming in 2005. its a speedway car. the off road track will be setup for oval racing (one big round circle) and the speedway cars will have a bigger tyres on one side as they will only be turning in one direction just like a real speedway car.

Fantastic photos mate! Too bad you got pipped on the last lap buddy! LOL!!!

One of the most fun days I've ever had.

Also, anyone keen on rc speedway should check it out. Details on http:/www.sydneyrc.com . It starts in Jan '05 and all you'll need to begin with is one of those red bodies. It's just so much fun doing massive slides on full power with a fistful of opposite lock!
