View Full Version : camber + toe on rear wheels for off road buggy
can i get some suggestions on rear wheel camber and toe for an off road buggy?
should the rear wheels have toe in / \ or toe out \ / ?
should the rear wheels have negative or positive camber ?
my question is about _rear wheels_
its alot like a car matto, how do you want the buggy to perform..... more toe out will alow more drift when off the gas and on it hard around corners.....
little bit of toe in with slightly neg camber would be perfect to grip and stability

You should never use Toe Out on the rear wheels, it makes the car very unstable.
Toe In makes the rear of the car stable, and grippy, but if you lose grip, it'll lose control a lot harder/faster the more toe in your running.

crank the neg camber.. as it wears, rotate your tyres (see tyrepower) hahaha.
also go the toe in on rear.
If you search the net you might find "setup sheets", these are usually pdf doc's you can d/l and fill out to your hearts content. I have some for my losi... they have images with settings for ea adjustable item, tower's, arms, shocks, toe, ride height, etc.

Before you change the B4 I suggest you right down on a blank setup sheet how I had it setup.
(If I repeat something you know, so be it - Might be of interest to someone else :) )
Rear toe in is hard set at 3 degress on a B4.
Camber depends on wieght distribution when cornering. I found with Monster stocks, Neg 1 Degree. However with a heavier motor (like a MVP) Neg 1.5 degrees.
Your aiming to get the wieghted wheel to standup straight when in the corner under power (thus giving the maximum traction).
