is it being built for race meets, or just hacking about?

a nice spot for me to hack around on the way home from work

it looks to me like the track is not finished and that the only financial backers are the ones who race there a bit of work and it could be a nice track. it definatly is long a work in progress i think

here we go again. rofl.

the track is built on land owned by alcoa. the main organiser works at alcoa, if he's the organiser anyway. they let him use the land for r/c for a small yearly fee (so he told us)

they seem to mainly run 1/8 nitro buggy, but i've seen the odd MT there too.

they've done more work since I've been there, the jumps are bigger, the track is more refined. the pics make it look very sandy, i spose when i last saw it it was quite damp and compacted from the rain.

no doubt they are down there still on sundays building the track and hacking on it at the same time, no idea if they are racing on it yet.
