Howz it going Samma

I used to have 1 of these cars 2 years ago and let me tell you , nothing can compete against them .

Fully optioned it was with hydraulics etc .

They are allot more expensive than the standard 1:5 scale Dynamic kits etc but you just cant look back .

Unfortunately i had to sell it to fund a pretty high end CRT projector .

Ill see if i can did up some pix for you .

Adam .

I'd love to have the funds to convert the nitro F1 car over to electric and use something like a lehner 2280 and 8-10S lipos -lol-

JD
03-11-2005, 10:53 AM
well apparntly the electric model will out run any zenoah, and will run for approx 30 mins.

uhhm , something tells me you cant swap over the cells very quickly and a charge would be best part of a few hours , ill stick to filling it up with fuel in 20 seconds then going again ... hehe

yeah - but for me personally - i'd only bother with something like this if i was pimpin it up - that way - i'd be able to have a few chargers an lipo packs going a few days before -lol-

Although the PETROL ones are supposed to be hella easy to run and maintain aren't they? It'd still be fun - i dunno - for some reason the nitro/petrols don't give me any desire to own one -lol-

nexxus
22-11-2005, 09:13 AM
Yeah, damn, I think someone who knows more about these should take a look see, the assumption was RC_King knows more on them than I do (and he seems to believe he does as well) so hey, he should check it out right? I don't want to say it's one type and then be proven wrong, mate I know sweet FA about petrol/nitro powered cars.

given them a call , Nex is pretty spot on , its not a lauter but still sounds excellent , after dealing with such an EXCELLENT salesman there at cashies today over the phone , and im definately not being sarcastic , he is sending down a pix to me via email this arvo but looks like its a goer anyway from his description , im gonna grab it .

Fleggy , may take you up on your offer of baby sitting it for me for pick up .

Bloody delays my turbine heli pick up now ... damn you Nex

JD
22-11-2005, 10:41 AM

nexxus
22-11-2005, 11:08 AM
Lol I know, got a Velociti 5.5 system but am going to buy a 4300 motor (slowest one similar to stock) to run first, trying to go from a Sports Tuned to a 5.5 turn with a 100kph top out is crazy!

nexxus
22-11-2005, 11:09 AM
Wonder what these 1:5 nitros would do, I'm glad a RC hobbyist is getting it not some gumby who knows nothing about em!

JD
22-11-2005, 11:31 AM
1:5ths arn;t nitro arghhh! :P

They have wipper snipper engines, they run on unleaded fuel mixed with some 2 storke oil - thats why they're so good cos fuel is only $1 litre and they run for 45 mins on one tank :D And they have pretty much zero tuning issues like a nitro does.

U can leave sit there and idle for an hour and they won;t overheat of flood or anything, great cars! :)

That being said, U can buy NOS kits for these. And the engines really enjoy a good tuned pipe.

Got it for $550 but in saying that , $60 postage to get it to Melbourne plus its going to need another $500 - $600 spent on radio ( well servos as i never skimp on servos and only go namebrand ) and probably about another $400 for misc ( inc disc breaks etc ) . Still a good buy though if youve had 1:5 scale experience before as it wont be a prob to get running for me .

Ive attached a video clip of the exact same 1 running .

Its a weird video format so may not play on some PCs

theres only 1 place i know of down here in Melbourne that sells 1:5 ( that i know of ) and their :

Melbourne Track & Hobby Centre
134 Old Geelong Rd Hoppers Crossing 3029

Many years ago their was a show in Vic " Big Boys Toys " which i think is Aus wide at different times but these guys had a massive stand there and thats how they got known by many .

I bought the shell off them atleast 4 years ago , plan was to modify my 1:5 F1 car to take that body but as you can see from the dust , it never happened .

TOp blokes and 1 of the biggest hobby shops in Melbourne , if not the biggest , might be worth some guys calling if stuck on parts for anything as they sell all brands .

Ok , announcment.

Ussually i bag allot of cash converters stores as their attitudes are as bad as their prices ( under normal circumstances ) .

I have dealt with Rockingham cashies and their service has been sensational and they have gone above and beyong the call of major yuppie stores .

Ive obviously dealt with the manager of the store and through all his hard work and effort and cooperation , he has box , packed and organised it with my couriers and the car has been picked up as of this morning and is on its way to Melbourne as we speak . I spoke to him bout money for packing and time , and he shrugged it off like i was insulting him .

Where do you find not only helpfull but also efficient service these days like this from a second hand dealer .

My hat goes off to Rockingham cash converters .

ohh and nex for being the spotter . Also thanx to flegg , Matt , James and Balistic all of which offered as well ... ill remember the return favour .
