Just put a deposit on a HPI EP STAGE-D With MAZDA RX-8 Body. !lmao
Kit comes with a sprint 2 chassis, 20 turn motor, two sets of wheels (drift tyres and street tyres)and a heap of really ugly stickers for the shell.
Just have to finish paying for it!!
Next couple of weeks will feel like an eternity!
Here's a pic from Frontline hobbies. Too many stickers for my liking though...

Nice one! The stickers are what it's all about... Rice it up baby!
If you notice your steering going a bit funny, check the steering servo saver. Mine came real loose after a few runs.
If you want it drifting real good on the included tyres, use the larger pinion or smaller spur (can't remember which extras were included). Also, either fit a 7 cell pack somehow (I used tape to hold it in), or get a better motor and it will go sideways very nicely ;)

After being a bum (studying/playing music/etc) for sooooo long, I'm still getting used to having to work for a living :P I should probably go and check out their site again and drop by sometime....

Don't worry there will be plenty of bling. I'm practising my painting skills on Mini-T shells. :-)
Justo, you don't think the motor it comes with is much chop?? Recommendations?
I need to know what motor I'll put in before I get the speed controller.

The included motor on ANY kit is never gonna be the best....It's nice, but as usual, it just gives you a taste of what is possible. I put a 10 turn in for a while but that was a bit silly :P I reckon a quality 19turn would be very good, or down to the 15turns maybe?

the motor the stage-d comes with works fine for me. Also, ive changed over to ABS tires and its so much fun its rediculous.it picks up speed wikedly and can kick out sideways even at Vmax.
my steering went funny too justo, started getting worse and worse so i took it to a hobby centre to get it checked out, turned out the remote was faulty!!! i brought it back to original place of purchase and they replaced the whole remote for me and since then it runs freakin' awesome!!! 1 major thing it lost was the lag from when your going in reverse and slam it in forwards, it use to stop and then go, now it instantly responds by frying the tires!!! hehehe
congrats on your purchase jim007, get some ABS and youll have a ball!

OH! also jim007, if you dont want to buy a new rear belt every week i suggest you cut the back piece off your chassis (behind the diff). It allows for rocks to pass through the back end of the car and not chew up the rear belt. I use to have to replace my belt after almost every run and since i cut the piece of plastic out i havent had to replace the belt in over 3-4months or so now!

Nice one, I was beginning to think I was the only one who just bought a stage-D! Just picked upa Silvia S-15 not too long ago, but currently got no time to play with it as Im concentrating on setting and tuning my offroads.
All stage-d drivers should set up some night meets in the new year! !super
