sunday was a day race in St Ives (30 mins and up north) and was held at the showgrounds on the same day as a market day. loads and loads of people, whoooaaa. interesting - very minimal chick talent, all over 30's with little kiddies running about.
this club is just called "St Ives RC Car Club" and uses manual lap counting (two old women) and no computer. some dudes from the Ryde track rocked up and they invited me to setup camp with them. boys, the team spirit from the fellas was unreal. they upgraded my spur gear for better ratio, let me use a set of their tyres (mine wore a shit load from sat night), filled my shocks with some shit hot shockie oil, and the best was if the car didnt survive from a prang in a race (happened on two occasions today ffs!) , one of them ran out to grab the car to take it back to the pits and do a fix job on the car to get it back out there before the race was over. a real good bunch of blokes.
