of course, it got me thinking, an interclub on a saturday? i think not... It's on a sunday.. heh.
Looks like I'll make it afterall.
can someone give me an idea on the track layout, surface type, how many jumps, any other technicalities, and the size of the track? and... where is it? (the track)

small track .. tight .. 1 high speed sraight with high speed curve in it ..( similar to carine . ) prob bit tighter than carine . simialar gearing will work .. track would prob be not very good cond .. as it prob never gets used .. so expect it to get bit boggy /and rough

Now THERE's a good point MJ! although I have been there a few times, it was MANY years ago... and, what time does it start too, does anyone know??
the interclubs tend to start around 9 to 9:30. i would recommend getting there before 8 to secure your spot.

apparently the Registration is 8am and DRIVERS MEETING is at 8:30 am, so I'd be getting there for well before then.

well it's all over. I had a pretty rough start to the day, with my first qualifier ending in frustration due to someone that seems to 'hack' me (and everyone) at every event they goto... but it happens. 2nd qualifier I managed to get away from said 'hack' only to have motor failure at about 6th lap, doing another 3 laps at snail pace.. was the comm (black, dirty, got crap in it or something).
went into the finals qual'd 4th..
ended up winning the 1st and 2nd final, mainly by 'driving slowly around the pile ups in the first few turns' then maintaining the lead. there was some good racing for sure. Chris Brown's car was on fire.
I loved the track, it's SO COOL. I could have pictured e-maxx's drifting it up.. it was perfect for it too! it's a shame the track is over now, no more racing. i really enjoyed it, i didnt even really know it was there... bummer, I'd race there at least monthly if it was gonna be a goer, but it's too late for 'i would, could, etc'..
the sun was damn hot, the flies were annoying. summer is here and racing is hot... it was good to put away a few beers after the race to celebrate the facility :)
Kingbob has some pics in his gallery, the results should be online in the next couple of days.
