Why is that? These have been the location of the last four national events, and according to AARCMCC rules:

2.2.1 Nationals will be run on a rotational basis per State and if more than one club in that state applies for the event a postal vote of that states member clubs will determine the winning club. In the event of a tied vote the Section Head and/or the State delegate has the casting vote.

2.2.3 If one State elects not to take their turn it will be passed on in turn until a State is found to host the event.
2.2.4 The State missing their turn must wait a full cycle before another chance.

Next bit of info I have found out:

"At this time we are also calling for clubs to apply to host 2006 AARCMCC State Championships for Electric Onroad and Offroad and 2006 AARCMCC Electric Onroad National Championships. Applications need to be in by 11th September, 2005 so that we can have the 2006 Calendar finalised by 1st October, 2005."
(President of AARCMCC Chris Peet).

Bunbury have the WAORMA offroad states next year, but they're also ARCMCC affiliated, so it may be a dual event.

So, whose coming to the Nats? I know that tricksy hobbit James "Smeagol" Mandy is, and he's already practicing on the Virual RC track. Depending on whether I follow in Joe Hall's footsteps to Sunny Japan (which is unlikely), I could be going.

Anyone else?
