yeh, well i cant count on my LHS as that is a toyworld so my nearest would be in perth and i would much prefer buying online anyway.

heres another site. paying less than 400usd for truck, with lower quality accessories and less accesories( no reverse module, no servo, slower charger and no CA glue or thread lock) and paying $1 less. still think its a rip off?

The toyworld in Rockingham seems to be ok RC wise, maybe your Geraldton store could get something going with them on your behalf? I'd buy locally or at least in the state, what if you have a warranty issue later on? (It could happen!)

Not worth the risk, I bought my brushless at Ryper, and yes it cost more, but at least I have a valid warranty which I've used once already!

yeh, the warranty is a nice thing. im sure if i use a reputable online store as towerhobbies i should be covered?

up here they sell a couple of rex x buggies and some monster truck with ford/holden ute bodies on them.

whats the best HPI dealer in perth?

web updates and WA hobby stores don't go hand in hand too well. Ring Sam - Your best bet

rang perth RC, sam wasnt there so i talked to Ron and they reackon $780 including a starter combo for the savage 25. im guessing $40 shipping to my door. he was unsure if you get a battery/chager for the roto start but thats fine cause ive got a couple tandy ones lying around here so they should do. only problem is theyve got 3 left until well after christmas and i still have to wait for the ok from my parents.

Sammy was at on road racing today and again tomorrow. When I see him tomorrow I'll ask whether he's got the limited edition 25's in. It's got the 3 speed & dirt bones tyres (better grip).

Wish Santa would hurry up and get here.

His elves got lazy and bought it from RCHobbies.com.au
Paid $649 with free postage Australia wide for a 4.6 SS

Didn't want RTR as i want to build it myself and have a decent radio for it

going to pick up the savage 25 RTR + everything to get it running on friday for $770 from perth hobby centre.

meh...i dont really care for the 1/5 scale and bigger cause i dont have a spare acre or so to run it.

and yes, i think its a fantastic price. now i just need to pick up a temp gun, after run oil, threadlock and a spare glow plug and i will be ready for my 24 day bash session in the rainforests of queensland.
