Add another couple of hundred and get the LST or Revo or add another 100 or so and get the Savage.

Mate thats not a Savage it's made by the same mob and it is definately NO monster truck. It's a stadium truck they are heaps different.
No good asking me about Savages mate I am biassed to the LST. But from what I have seen the Savage, LST and Revo (if you can call it a monster truck hey Slylux :p ) are by far the best out there.

I heard savages arent much chop for racing. Revo seems to be the go, or a truggy perhaps.
for $600'ish I would buy a Hyper 7 PBS edition. it comes with EVERYTHING needed to run straight away. value for dollars, and a decent kit too.. probably the direction I'll go next year when I play nitro.

Hi Slappy. I'll suggest the Revo. It comes RTR and an instructional DVD (tho a bit boring) - Having a video of how to run in and tune the motor would be a great help to a newbie.

thanks for the info, the revo kits seem to be about a grand which is a tad too much for my wallet right now. Ill look into the hyper 7 kit.

Last time I was at stanbridges they had a LST, Revo and Savage in stock. They were all over $1100.

how about a second hand deal? search ebay and forums - sometimes you can get some wicked deals on RTR MT's with hopups for the price u have posted ;)
Revo is small - LST and savvy are a bit bigger - just in case ya like size -lol- Both as fast as one another pretty much - not far off each other :) Revo will handle pretty good straight out of the box - Savage is tough as nails and LST is mega easy to work on ;)
If your keen to get into racing I'd say go for the hyper 7,
If your gunna bash get a savage

Slappy you bought a TNX, do you know all about breaking it in and so forth?

Yeah I read all of the instructons on breaking it in and have done that. The thing is, my truck is dripping a fair bit of oil from the exhaust which is greasing up the rear wheels. Is my truck running too rich? It blows some smoke blue/white but not heaps.

If that is normal can you extend the exhaust pipe so the smoke goes past the wheels?
