Hey all the names Shauno, i have a done up GTi swift always loved cruising till i started breaking things..lol so its time to hit the RC Cars again been looking around lately and choices have come down to the TT-01 Tamiya drift car OR the HPI Sprint2 Drift...

Have been searching internet high and low and still a little stumbled on what to buy, theres a considerable price difference on the two from the store im looking at purchasing from 8)

Look forward to coming out and seeing seom drift happening !lmao

I would buy hpi as I think they are a tougher car as in less time repairing more time tearing

Well off to pick up my TT-01D With upgraded motor and better ESC :D tomorrow cant wait

If you are drifting use a motor with lots of torque, the whole idea is to get the motor to break the traction between tyre and surface, low turn motors arn't as good at this as higher turns.

hey watsup,im a newbie :D ive recently bought my first R/C Car i bought the Tamiya TT-01D with the Wrx body Bright Orange and i'm slowly upgrading stuff here and there.

welcome, RC drifting is the fastest growing, most exciting form of RC motorsport there is. The best thing about it is you don't need a track or a bunch of other cars to have fun, you can drift pretty much anywhere. You don't even need a great car to have fun or drift at the highest level, you just need practice. If you are interested come down sunday morn to see a few veteren drifters go at it and you might just pick up a few things.

I'll have 2 cars, one with a KPGC Skyline body and the other with a gold 350Z.
ps, I'm not hard to miss I'll be the one in the cowboy hat.

Well i got my TT-01D today and sheesh i wish i had of saves for something a bit better doesnt seem to be the best of quality but eh, goes hard and been drifitng all arvo...will have to come next meet now

Around the $400 mark with radio gear from midland, was jsut eager to buy one si didnt shop for prices. also have now mounted a camera on top of my car shame theres no sound but still looks cool!!

Dude there aint nothin wrong with a TT-01 the winner of the 2005 season was driving a TT-01 and it owned everything.. just need to set it up right and practice .... PM if u need anything at all e.g tires
