PRECC carpet racing, 17-1-06

Well tonight I went carpet racing at Perth Radio Electric Car Club (is that right? haha)

it was interesting running the new car there with a pretty much asphalt setup (or should i just say straight out of the box setup.. hrmm) I know for sure that changes can be made, inc spring rates, roll centre's, droop, etc.

The track is now reversed, and is actually kinda cool.. I'm sure it will grow on people over time anyway.

I found the grip actually to be pretty good.. only slight slide action here and there, not bad at all.

Tonight I joined the club as a member, and hope to get down there more often. Some of the Ryper crew also came down for a look... Jamie, Kev, Ben. and even some Ryper racers... Weng, Sherry Ball, Me, etc.

no damage on the car which is nice, but hey, no real bad collisions either, a few tangles is about all...

looking forward to racing the championship, will be back next tues :)

just had a look at some of the old times from last year. The track seems faster this year in the opposite direction. and the traction hasn't come back yet either.

it will just take people time to get used to it all. I actually found the traction okay. perhaps it's better since it's vac.. hah
