Good site for basic info - but info on there is very old - the site has been up for a long time and doesnt appear to have update analysis or pricing......
Anyone interested in looking at old tamiya stuff i have a bunch of links if needed......

I'm just glad the boomerang is going to a good home :) , its a hoot to drive, it'd be a shame for it to sit on a shelf in some collectors dungeon.

I had a boomerang back in the day, was my first Tamiya RC! Had a hornet about 2 years later.
I'm thinking of getting a Frog, but I REALLY want a monster beetle!
KB, get on to it and order the beetle in! + one for me lol

Do you really need to ask?
Give me 20mins and i'll take it for a drive.
Good fun changing gears manually, does pretty good dohnuts too, not got on the shell though when it falls over. But you just need to rub it back and repaint it.
Suprisingly quick
i hate you bd581...nah, but i do wish i could own...or even drive a bruiser.

fkn oaf bd , its always rolls when you go into a full speed turn , and with all the weight behind it it left massive scrapes on the roof and front bonnet .
Ive seriously got to get mine out and going , its virtually all stripped down and missing a few bits and peices but got to finis it up .
If you plan on taking these cars out on a dirt race track , i can guatuntee you that those that have never used 1 will have no fun with it as i wouldnt myself but when you start hitting off road tracks and shrub etc , NOTHING can compare to the scale . You can even see the leaf springs / shocks working to scale , their wicked in the right environment and also for driving at slow scale speeds .
Ohh well , im sure Bd can vouch for my comments .

Most definately.
Its not the kind of thing you get out and show how fast it is. Its best just out poseing. I have a tow bar fitted and a lexan car trailer. Great fun showing off at a race by arriving with that and my race car on the back!

have you got a pic of the trailer? My plan over christmas was to build a car trailer for my race car and hook it up to my Caddy Escalade and tow it to and from the track. Didn't get round to it though.

U think Rohans was a bargain? I just got another one for the same price, but fully ball raced, ESC, Yokomo 05R motor, immacullate box, manual, 4 batteries, charger controller , original Taniya magazine that i had in high school & heaps of spares! I've just been flogging it at the local BMX track, I can't believe the handling!
I also bought another complete boomerang for spares.
As for Rohans, it's been completely stripped, ball raced & is awaiting new radio gear, hot motor ESC etc. Whilst it will be pampered on the shelf, it will also be driven hard.
I'm making up for lost time guys!
regards
jak
