Hi all,
Does anyone know of a cheap online shop that sells scale model motorbikes? I'm after some of those pre-assembled usually 1:18 scale ones that cost a fortune in bike shops, but look like they've been put together in under 30 seconds but someone in a sweatshop & certainly arent worth $50 retail.
Cheers!
im not confident, but try www.frontlinehobbies.com.au
theyre in newcastle NSW i think.

Hey cool.
Well i'm going to look for:
2005 Suzuki SV1000s
Triumph Speed triple
Ducati 996s
Yamaha TRX850
i'm pretty sure the Ducati & the triumph will be easy to find, but the TRX and the SV might prove more elusive
thanks for the help guys

what like those little 50cc pocketbikes?
$900 fine if you get caught riding one on or beside a road where i am.
my housemate got done about a month ago. turned out to be an expensive pizza he went to pick up
dam perth sucks - I think pocket bikes are legal here :D i see people on them all the time.

yeah i think it's aus wide.
I'm in sydney and they get you for 2 "offences"
1.operating a vehicle without a insurance/greenslip
and
2. riding an unregeserable vehicle on public roads
$450 a pop.
!rant
they only fined my housemate with those 2, however he got off lightly, as he was moderatly pissed, doing a wheelie across a set of traffic lights without a helmet. !burnout

do what i use to do... DONT STOP !!!
Go to the local park.. piss the ranger off.. drive to one side of the park and wait to he drives around to that side, and then drive back to the other side..
Also know your local pathways....
And yes.. mini 50cc bikes with all the running gear.. even has electic start of a mini car battery.. half size..

this was a cop, heh, if it was a ranger he'd have just ridden off.

Still dont stop for anyone... dont even look back :)
f*cking with rangers is fun.
did it the other day on the trx450r. get on a grael road and let him catch up and then blast him away, snakey all over the road throwing dust everywhere. then pull off the road and wait in the ditch till he goes flying past then turn around and go back again.
just make sure you have enough power to get away from em and dont do it to cops cause THEY will catch you.

cops never got me :) i use to live in mindarie and ride north to the alkimos each afternoon...
On the way home is the tricky part, i use to take the roller door remote hit the local pathway to my street, and use to open the roller door while im down the street, and then race in like batman with the door closing behind me.. hehe
ahaha. me and a mate had do that one time on the fiddys. cops saw us at the skatepark down the road from my joint. we cut across the park and luckily i had left the door up...cam screeming into the garage pressed the button and just as the door shut we heard/saw the boys in blue go past my place.

wtf? back in my day I would have been labelled a "forum whore" by Matto if I hijacked a thread like this .........
well at least we aernt talking about the merits of why footy is better than soccer in a scale motorcycle thread.
bah, its still non rc related.

Hey thanks remote, sounds cool, 1:12 scale or 18, its all good!
Heh king, those 350 banshee motors were insane, they had them in the old RZ350 roadbikes.
had a ride of one once, no torqe, noisy as all hell but christ they had some squirt when you hit the power - it was like a lightswitch
