im starting at my new job on Wednesday so i will probably skip racing to have an early night.

for what its worth, i dropped down one pinion to race on carpet so that i could have punch through the tight short part of the carpet track. overall radio was 8.18

Whats a hinge pin, cause if its the same as the T1 I'll have one.

just a metal rod?

Can;t you just goto a hardware store and buy one - and cut it to size? :D

Nails work well sometimes. Make sure its the right diameter then just trim the ends (shame E-clips don't stay on there) :(.

the hinge pins have to be extra strong

looks exactly the same as any other xray hinge pin, is it a diiferent length as the other xrays? if not there are plenty of them out there! dave from ryper should have one but if not david ferral still has heaps of x ray spares, big guy with the blue glasses, if interested let me know i can see if he has one

ended up sorting out a hinge pin.. but still have other parts that i need to get the car back to the setup I want it. It's run'able at the moment, but with whacky antidive and antisquat. aaah well. at least i can still race it.

raced it last night on carpet, was really really strange. Nothing like the week before, the setup just sucked badly. still managed to finish on top in all races, but wasnt happy with how I'd set the car up. doh. Might tinker some more before racing this Sunday.

the fun goes on

My set up sucked! A one way don't work on carpet and without tyre warmers you're screwed. Had a few big shunts that screwed some rims up but still came 2nd in Stock 3, not bad for a beginner and got some good straight line speed outta the sports tuned.

Same old story isn't it? LOL I had a few laps where the car felt quick and handled itself fine, definately has some potential, one guy in Stock 3 was running a P2K2 and I had as much as him down the straight :D
