Hey guys, I have a Dratrax evader ST and I need a new motor for it. I wont a motor that will last a while and have decent torque.
I have seen down at riper hobbies some racing stock motors in little white plastic contrainers, are they good?
I was also looking at a Reedy Quad Mag 19t. What wold yo guys buy?
Oh and I have ~$70 to spend...

I tried a 17 in a Evader, ended up with more luck using a Brood Stock motor ($99.50 at Ryper) save the extra $30 and get one of those, the standard Photon 20 motor is shite!

Nah I dont wont to spend over $70 dollars. I have read a few things about the reedy quag mag motors having heaps of torque so I think I will just get one of those unless these is a decent motor that will be better in the evader for about $60.

"I wanna a REEEELLLY FAST CAR but I don't wanna spend jack and I'd sooner get sh.. then something that'll last"
I'm sorry thats what I am hearing....
Good luck mate !lol
PS A Duratrax stock ESC can ONLY HANDLE a 20 turn or over motor, it won't run a 17 etc without playing Thermal buggers on you.
*Gives up and walks away*

Actually I hear Venom motors are really good, get a 13 double, for $60 you can buy two! Quick what a bargain!!!!

You heard wrong.
1. I dont run the stock ESC.
2. I never said I wonted to go fast I remember the word torque.... not speed. I would rather not as much speed but a motor lasts longer.
3. I'm not going to buy shit AGAIN, I have done that too many times already. I just don't wont to spend $100, I may as well save up for a brushless :D

i had a duratrax i ran a cyclone esc with a kisbey 12 turn, now that was fun.. as for a motor that lasts i was under the impression that u need to maintain a motor to make it last, so its all money.

You DONT have to spend big bucks to go fast.
Get onto Tower Hobbies, and pick up a Reedy quad mag pro 19T...its plenty fast, and will only cost you 30-40 US.
also remember you don;t have to go fast to have fun :)

Thanks deano, finally someone not just accusing me of wanting to go fast for nothing.
I just spoke to an eBay company called RcBoys and they sell Reedy Quad Mag 19t's for $32 and $11 shipping to australia (all US prices). Thats what I'm going to buy, I hope it lasts a decent while.
