Howz it going guys , im working on a mod for my king hauler truck ( to get horns , lights smoke etc working ) . THe diagram shows an ic 12C509A which is a common programmable ic available everywhere but my question is that it needs to be programed .
I have the apparent hex key but have never programmed a pic before .
1. Does anyone know which programmer is available to do this IC .
2. Has anyone programmed a pic before and is there much involved , eg : the light , horn kit etc os $250 ready made . Im assuming a programmer is only $50 and the chips are definately $4 so i cant really loses hey .
Would love to hear from some buddy programmers .
PS.. These are the same chips they used to use in the first playstations for modding incase that jogs some meories .
