having parts on hand when racing is like having a spare condom incase the one in use breaks....

... thats the best analogy i could think of. hmmm.

i saw an auction on ebay for a chassis, spare wheels with tyres, front and rear shocks (two pairs), gearbox... ahh loads. i had a look at the gear and valued it myself, i also got the opinion from James here, and placed my highest bid.

have a look at the auction here, and tell me if you think i have paid too much.

update:

so today the package arrived at my work and here are some pics with some running commentary of whats inside and what a surprise i got when i found out... you'll see.

the ebay auction says : Parts came of a stock Kyosho 1/10th Ultima RB Buggy Electric.

so from this line im expecting just bits and peices, i was keen to pick up the screws/nuts/bolts because i have no spares. when i loose them im in the shit i tell ya.

pic #1, the package. very exciting.

i layed all the peices out in a box lid so i could see what spares i had scored

i saw the chassis and the rear shock tower in the lot so i started placing peices tother loosely (no screws)... you know... just out of curiosity.

i continued... placing bits together, i saw a front shock tower and front+rear wishbones. this got interesting real quick.

i was so curious to see how much of a car i had scored and the peices just all seemed to be available. i used each peice from the pile i had made on one side and blow-me-drunk, i had a complete car! everything minus the shell and wing.

a complete car, with rims+tyres.

in this last pic i threw in the included tyres and the bag of mixed screws/nuts/bodyclips/etc

for $42 + frieght, i scored a complete buggy (in peices). im STOKED
