Rising Scorcher?

Hi guys
My first RC built from scratch. It's a Tamiya Rising Storm with a replica Sand scorcher body over the top.
Peak racing 13 x 2 motor & Magnum 10 turn limit ESC. Fully ball raced, havn't run it yet as I've been too busy with work. hoping to get to Maitland RC track at the end of May to have my first crack at racing, but with the stock motor.
Any suggestions most welcome as I'm still learning
