I have just picked up my CO27 stock motor and a pair of IB4200 battery packs, but according to AARCMAC rules these are not yet legal. Would they still be legal say at a regular Ryper club meet or would it be percieved as an unfair advantage? Who does the racer answer to? The Race Director at the day or a few whiners on internet forums? Any help would be appreciated.

you can race but points WILL NOY be included.
Depending as to the illegalities the race co-ordinator may ask you NOT to race.
that is my understanding

you can use the CO27 and IB4200's at ryper club meets and they will still be legal and you will still get points (as far as I know).. the club knows both the motor and the batteries will become legal in July, so there shouldnt be a problem.
Saying that, I dont speak on behalf of Ryper so dont take my word as gospel. With Ryper selling CO27's and IB4200's, i dont see why they cant be used for club racing. The Ryper club racing doesnt follow 'AARCMCC' rules. (it only enforces tyres)... as we all know your TC doesnt have to be 1525g+ it can be whatever weight you like.
As long as the motor has XXXX27 on it's tag, I'd say it's considered fine for club level racing. I know of other racers using this motor for ryper club meet's, without issues.
when was the last time your car was checked for a legal motor on a club meet?
you should ask Dave directly. Dont take anyone elses answer to seriously (including mine).

We use the AARCMCC rules as guidelines. As long as the armature is tagged 27 turn, locked timing, and has matching can and endbell it will be legal for club racing.
All cars get basic scrutineering on club days, although this has tapered off again recently. It will be brought up again this weekend that after your race you leave your car on the orange boxes and go marshall (no matter how much you overgeared and overheated it).
