hi there.

usual newbie intro...
Matty from Port Kennedy, 25, 3d cad designer, practically married with a handfull of kids..
Signed up to get some info and do some research to help me out in the purchase of a buggy.

I'm looking into a few 2nd handy 1/8th buggies that hopefully come from respectable racers.
Won't be for bashing mainly circuit racing/get togethers. no comps yet. But have met a few guys down this way that are right into the buggies and boats. I think i'm hooked, do I need professional help?

My old HR ute project is up for sale to finance my buggy purchase(if anyones interested, still licensed great car!)
anyhoo, Still browsing through the old post graveyard So I thought i'd better say g'day before I start overloading the forum with questions.

Matty

cheers for the welcome y'all.

Maxd out, whats the ofna's like to get parts around town?
by rolling you mean no donk and radio gear or radio in it still? thats my main concern and if the servos are strong enough.
whats sort of nic is it in and whats in it?

I work on newcastle street perth so i've been told to go see sam up at perth rc and throw a few questions at him as well.

thanks,

Matt

Sammy 's the man :) parts for the MBX no probs just ask sam. ,but it is a roller in ok condition no servo's or radio gear ,so you would need a high torque servo for the steering & another for the brake/throttle,6v batt ,transmitter & reciever :)

sweet, i got a reciever, and kyosho handpiece in my boys old kyosho leccy buggy , I can swap his futaba handpiece back, but i'm not prepared to run the f servos on a petrol buggy obviously for torque reasons.
everything there to bolt it all straight in? might have to check it out.
dang gotto sell my ute first...

yep it will all slip straigt in ,a hitec 945 is the go for the steering and posibly somthing a little faster with less torque for the brake ,drop me a line if you wont to c the buggy 0412473673 Daz :)

might wanna get metal geared servos as well ive been running high torque nylon geared servos front end case out from a big jump or a decent bump will strip em no probs metal gear is a good investment
