OMG I have a plane??

Haha. When I just saw this R/C flight thread I just realised that I actually have a plane. No jokes here..I actually forgot I had one. Its an old aerobird challenger !amazed I remember that I only took it out a few times and now its kinda unflyable 8) I just dont have a knack for plane flying..three bad crashes in three different flights. In order to get it going again I think I need a new canopy and a new tail. Maybe its something ill look into..does anyone else on this board have a plane??

there's only so many places you can use them (legally) hence my lack of interest... :)

hey bash, i used to fly combat-wing gliders off long reef headland. those things are a cakewalk to fly, only 2 channels & practicaly indestructable. you should take your plane & throw it off the south side when the wind is blowing up from the south. you get a constant steady updraft, makes flying realy easy as you have constant lift.
if you balls it up it'll either smash into the cliff, nail a golfer, piss off a paraglider or go "sploosh" way down below :D

Haha yer. Ive been up there a couple of times and have seen a few feople with gliders up there. Dont know if I would be brave enough to thow it off there though with my level of flying ability. And James if you are looking for a plane I could send you one for $70 :P Just needs a new tail and canopy :)

Actually law on powered models is they must weigh under 400 grams for legal park flying , its a bitch of a rule but lets face it , 2kg of plane at speed hitting someone will hurt .

Indeed. I can see it now..the irony of a 1/20 (or whatever) plane coming down and killing/injuring a group of people.
