WA Team Adrenaline members,

The Carine track is under threat of becoming extinct. It has only a handful of members, and a committee who are ready to hand over the track to anyone who wants to take it.

What we have is a track that needs some tender love and care. What it needs is a small team who want to revive it. Run race meets there again, just like we do at West Coast.

The track is located at Penestone Reserve Greenwood, in the northern suburbs of Perth. Its location is pretty central to anyone who lives north of the river. The track is similar to West Coast Model Rally Club with a nice long straight and a wide track to allow for driving errors (lovely for people like me make heaps of errors!).

My purpose of writing this post is to ask for a show of interest from any one here who might want to be in the group of men who restored the track to life.

In all honesty, i think its a piss easy task. A committee meeting once a month. I am prepared to drop off flyers to shops and do the running around and promo work.

Im keen as chips, anyone else?

Matt.

I'm in, as much as I possibly can. I remember when I first started racing r/c and I'd rock up to Carine on a sunday (with you matto) to race. There was nowhere else to race off-road on a sunday!!)

If I can help with the track, or promotion, or the computer, or anything... I'd be keen.

People this is also a great chance for beginners to become involved in off-road racing. Register your interest in helping out!

Ironic change of plans:

Volker and his Emaxx + 1/8th brushless friends will be taking over the club and track. We wish them all the best and are confident the track will be up and running in no time. Volker and freinds have stressed that they are motivated and have tools.

Should be great for Carine!!

Well, it's not yet official that Volker and crew will take over carine, but talks are certainly in progress. Be great to have someone of Volkers enthusiasm looking after the track!

hey Jonno. first of all, welcome to TA.

Second of all, its finally good to have a voice for Carine.

There are other Carine members on here too, but in all honesty, we have hardly seen any recent threads or follow ups being posted in regards to action at Carine... (Im not saying there isnt any, just not alot so it tends to fall off the radar...and or its not till the last minute, and its found out too late).

Anyway, we move on. Its good to see you are indeed passionate about keeping the club alive...so perhaps a little update from the carine committee as to whats really going on with the club? whats needed? whats not? whos in, whos out etc etc (without the use of profanities)

Bombshell is on next week, so it will be good to get some running promotions to get the numbers there. We have been actively promoting it here on TA, and I know personally James and myself have been trying to encourage the numbers for the "bulletshell" as we dont run the big trucks ourselves. !lol

But, speaking for myself, I will be running in 2wd support class as well.

so lets get it on! my offer of doing geeky graphics and online promotional material still stands. Just PM me with whats needed etc etc or if u just want to throw some ideas.

cheers

A.

thanks to all of you for being so positive about the trasition of Carine club.
we will do to our best ability to make this track as enjoyable as we can. a bit o hard work is needed for this track tho, but with a little time, patience and help, we will bring this track back to life again.
tomorrow (saturday 19th May), we will be at trackside assessing the condition of the track and brainstorm some possibilities for the club. All's welcome for feedback and support or even just to play!!
we will be there 2ish. Looking forward to see some o you there :D
