I'm really starting to like this little truck. Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it? I was considering the Losi Mini-T, but even though it's so cheap, I really want something a bit more 'fun'. Plus, the TLT-1 can take regular 540 size motors and battery packs, so I don't need to invest anymore money into it.

TLT-1 isnt a fast, fun buggy like the Mini-T.
Its made for rock climbing, which is totally different to anything else you may have ever done with your RC before :)

Looked into buying one, so i contacted the 2 shops i usually deal with, both contacted Toy traders who said that they will not be available in Oz. They are about US$149 on Ebay.
Note that the TLT 1 does not accept normal batteries, but the new "rock climber" does
As an alternative to the Losi, Kyosho now have a 1/16th buggy that looks just like the MP777 fake nitro engine and all. Associated have a 1/18 4WD as does Trinity. Xray are currently working on a "convertible" which is a stadium truck thats modifiable to a Mini monster truck

Stanbridges has the Max Climber ($360), which does accept normal batts.
I don't agree with the mini-t being more fun cos it's faster, but that's me. I've driven fast before and I'm over it. I'd rather be able to drive around on more interesting terain, which is why I'm considering a climber/crawler truck. Never had a proper MT before, so I figure this will give me a cheap introduction.
I really don't like the kyosho buggy. That thing looks completely stupid with the fake heat sink and exhaust. I don't mind the RC18T, but again, it doesn't do what the TLT can.

Yeah, I don't 'do' second hand stuff. I prefer to be the first owner...:P
Funnily enough, I saw a new super clod going for a bit over 400bux aussie new. But, that's just gonna introduce a whole bunch of headaches for me to mod it up nice. Right now, I'm just after something cheap and simple.
