I've got some intellect 4200 6cell packs waiting to be deans converted and charged. I'll be changing all plugs to deans as soon as I can get some. Also have some 3300Mah 7cell packs arriving soon.
I need to find another fan like the one pictured cos the other one arrived not working.
First run was cool. It doesn't wheelie yet. Top speed is more than plenty for now. The stock packs need to be run in (their not the best packs either). I've been told that using decent cells is like the difference between night and day. Hence, I have a Savage wheelie bar on its way.

I only got it today. And I won't be racing it at all. By all accounts, stock for stock, it is faster than an emaxx. With decent 6cell packs, it is supposed to be faster than an emaxx running 7cell packs. It doesn't even have a 2 speed :)
There are pretty much NO hop ups available so that's where the emaxx gets more fun.

If you wanna hop it up, go brushless and lipo :P
justo316
15-05-2006, 10:06 PM
Nah, I don't deal with Lipos. And I've heard of first hand accounts of certain (cheapo) brushed motors + good cells beating HVmaxx emaxxes on good cells. The motors are only about $15US if I remember correctly, so I'll give them a shot later.

look slike an electric savage cool tho
justo316
16-05-2006, 07:22 PM
yup well Hot Bodies = HPI (pretty much)
Pity it's not exactly an electric savage. There are almost no compatible parts.
I think the only savage parts I can use are shocks (which I am looking for some sick alloy ones), the wheelie bar (very minor mod needed) and maybe c-hubs (which will be good as the c-hubs are known to be a weak point).

Ok, the C HGubs from a savage don't fit, don't try and run Emaxx tyres as the diff or drive shaft will give out, and I run mine with deans and twin 4200's and spectrum radio gear, with twin Emaxx motor heat sinks on the motors (no fans, even after a full race at Ryper the motors were barely warm!) and it'll chase down a stock Emaxx VERY quickly, I'd say it's a touch faster than a stock Emaxx on 14 cells. Last Run I did at Ryper it kept up with 10-11 turn motor powered 1:10 trucks on the straight without too much hassle.
The main weakness I found is it WILL traction roll with full steering lock from speed, on asphalt, on loose dirt it's quite stable. Oh and my landings need work!

** update **
Deans plugged the whole truck tonight and tried my new intellect 4200 6cell packs. Truck flies now! Not enough traction to wheelie, but definately faster than the stock 3300's. Only charging at 1Amp at the moment to break them in. Should get better once I start charging at 4Amp.

I got my wheelie bar today!!!! Had to dremel a tube of plastic parts tree to make something for the bottom part of the bar to screw into. Pretty sturdy for a hackjob. Now I need some decent grip tyres....

I would get some low profile tires with white dish rims, that would look neat!

New rims will be BLACK and have either bow ties or dirt bonz on them.

G/luck! The Ezilla is a strange one with rims/tyres, anything over 2mm wider than the standard and you will have dramas with the diff and driveshafts. Go to www.ezilla.com and read the wheels/tyres thread before committing to anything.
justo316

diff problems seem to be related to incorrect shimming/grease and driveshaft problems seem to stem from too much traction/incorrect slipper settings and/or wheels and tyres that are too heavy. Simple driveshaft fix seems to be replacing them with emaxx versions.
Is this the website you're talking about?
http://ezillacomm.forumsplace.com/
If so, I've read it all pretty much.

<--- Hey, where are my stars?? Did I get too many again that they can't fit? :p
