Picked it up this morning. Spent about 6 hours building it. Hasn't got 4 wheel steering yet. Need to find out where I can get a reversing Y-harness.
It's got a Reedy MVP Stock in it as well as a Quantum Reverse and some crappy Sanwa electrics which will be swapped out for JR stuff as soon as I can get my radio off my mate.
Truck is great fun! It has the realistic torque roll when you hit the throttle as it lifts one of the front tyres. Pulls wheelies on carpet.

Yeah, you should see the full picture....people always freak out cos I have pretty much every video game system under the sun ;) I decided to sell the lot and just keep the xbox though.
Anyway, back to the truck. Yeah, ground clearance isn't great, but it never is with solid axle MTs. The trick is all in the way the suspension works. Plus you gotta remember, it's supposed to be a micro truck.
I was thinking of taking the wheels from my Nitro MT and sticking them on. Masher 2k's would give ridiculous groung clearance.

WICKED! I just found out I can actually do 4 wheel independent steering using my JR XR3 controller!

Wicked fun! I've only driven it round the house and in my tiny backyard so far. There's a stupid lock on the gate next to my unit so I can't get out to the park easily, which is why I haven't taken it ou for a proper bash yet.
I've ordered the necessary parts to lift and stretch it (only cost 40bux from tower), should be here any day now. Gonna run some nice regular MT tyres and wheels and this truck is gonna conquer everything, almost. Will post more pics when I do the conversion.
I set it up with fulltime 4WS cos it's better. Really easy to do and I modded the steering linkage cos the way the instructions say to do it causes way too much slop and crap suspension travel. Anyway, all good now and working perfectly.

Seriously, it's less than a foot long and electric. I got it cos I really like the Tamiya TXT-1 but they don't seem to sell it here anymore.

damn , got cought out on that 1 big time , 1 nill to you ... lol .
Definately looks huge but im not too familiar with the RC Trucks much so wasnt familiar with the model you quoted .
Looking at it in comparison to what i now assume to be a 1:10 scale onroad , but please correct me if im wrong there as well , is the truck 1:14 scale is it .
Anyway , did my trip today and came out with the goods but ill open it in another thread as i dont want to hijac this 1 .
Thanx for the final piece of motivation .
Adam .

Yeah, dunno what scale it really is. I guess it's supposed to be 1:18th like the rest of the micros.
Can't wait to see what you bought!

New photos of stretched TLT-1.
Not the greatest shots. The sun's at the wrong angle right now, so stayed indoors.

compared to before, yes. Not as much as some people have it, but they usually put normal size MT rims and tyres on. I might do it, but it already rolls way too easily. I'll wait til the stock tyres wear out before I decide.
But, it is high enough to not worry about most obstacles. Before it'd get caught on heaps of stuff, now it's just nice :) All I need to do is lock the front and rear diffs and it'll rawwwwk!
