Hey all,
Just got a 5B, few things though... I havent charged the rx battery yet, i did turn it on momentarily to check that it all works... for 10 or so seconds I had only steering response no throttle at all, then shortly after that when I moved the steering the throttle servo just glitched like mad with the rx light blinking away... I realise blinking means flat/low battery but shouldnt the failsafe kick in?! :) I'll have to give it a good charge tonight and see how it goes in the morning, but now I'd be worried if the batterys get low that the thing will go into autonomous mode! !dodge
Also wanted to know if other people had noticed if theirs had wobbly rear wheels out of the box? (I'm very picky). Yes they are done up very tight... the actual rims appear buckled :/ This buggy was NIB, sealed in its shipping box! am I just too picky? :)
Thanks in advance,
-Andrew

I'm in Melbourne :( When you roll the car along the ground by hand do you notice the rear wheels appear buckled when rotating? I charged the battery in the baja and powered it on, steering and throttle work ok, little glitchy unless the tx is close to the rx antenna. But when i siwtch off the Tx it goes ballistic steering left/right throttle goes bezerk :) Maybe I'll have to just swap out the rx with a 40fm one I have here, but would of been nice to play with it using the stock radio for a while. Maybe the sensitivity of the failsafe needs adjusting, i guess i'll try tomorrow
Thanks for the feedback :)

Take a pic to show us what you mean Redrum.
The wheels are very flexible. Some people have been having lots of problem with them flexing sort of inside out and they have to pop them back in.

Justo, A picture wouldnt really help demonstrate the problem, RCKing suggested it might be the beadlocks.. that was my first conclusion but i disproved that on the spot. I think tonight after having a proper look at it its just play in the rear axles... I'm used to bearings and things like that being nice and tight, not so sloppy :) the fronts are nice and have no play though.
No way I'm taking it back!

I cant find the video where the guy has a closeup of what happens. Just look at the rear wheel...notice how the spokes are concave? Imagine them going convex, that's what seems to happen to some people.
