the cheaper chargers are fine for most uses, i have a $60 ansmann charger and its doing the job just nicely charging the venom 3000mah nimh batterys. it charges the batterys, i get a nice run time from them but its my competition who are making me upgrade since i race my buggy.

these guys use these chargers because they really pump the batterys with juice and have a faster car down the straight compared to mine.

3300mah might be overkill for a standard RC car - you could get some extra run time, but your standard charger wont charger it to its full capacity (and the 3300mah batterys are about $100 new)

i think of batterys as a swimming pool, and i think of a charger as a hose.

3300mah = big swimming pool and a standard charger = a normal thin garden hose. it will fill the pool but slowly and without much pressure.

think of a big charger like a BIG FRIKKEN CONCRETE PIPE (the type they install underground when building a new suburb). it also fills the pool and with much more water, more force, much more pressure.

3300mah batteries last MUCH longer than ordinary ones....I remmeber drifting for 20 minutes once on a full charge in my old TB-02.

Charging them with a decent charger will ensure you have longer run times too.
