Well last week, it was a still afternoon, so i thought, sweet i'll take my twin rotor outside for some fun, cos that what i do most afternoons when its still, just sit on the letterbox, relax and buzz my heli all over the place :D
sometimes ppl come out to watch, nice way to relax :D
well anyways, luckily no-one was watching on this particular afternoon, I had it out, and flying , and the air was really still, so i thought sweet, lets go for some hieight... got it up to make 4 storeys high in the air... higher than the trees nearby, and it was all going well, then i got a little scared and decided to bring it down a bit, got it too about 20 metres in the air, and it just glitched or something :S the top counter weight thing got caught up with the bottom blades... which meant, a dead stop mid air....
20 metres it fell like a rock and i just sat there lol and watched it slam into my driveway,... lol
the heli is a little bit broken but i think i can replace a few bits and have it back in the air cheaply.
but one thing I'm concerned about is the lipo cell, its at the bas eof the chopper and would have hit the ground hard, it doesnt look swollen or anything, so I'm not sure if i should trust it, or should i replace it.
Is there any way to tell if a lipo cell is good or not?
kind of long post, but theres been nothing in here lately :P
I dont have any pics, cos theres nothing really gory, the battery bracket went flying, and it snapped one of the landing legs.
so they should only cost $20-$30 to replace.
oh well lol
