Just wondering how many people are going to be racing 4wd at West Coast on a regular basis when racing starts again. ?!

I take it from the lack of responses that not many people are intending on racing 4wd.
Either that or there is a secret conspiracy involving not telling each other what we are racing and Aliens. !alien
rofl. i wish i can put my hand up mate, but me gone back to 2 wheel drivin ;)

There are a reasonable number of 4wd's that run at west coast, or certainly at interclubs anyway.

I don't have a BJ4, but I will be racing the XXX-4 on a semi regular basis... Going to alternate between that and the XXX-T - basically whatever has the running gear in it at the time when I'm rushing out the door!

Excellent Fleggy that is at least 2 of us.
It would be really good if at least some of the time we could have seperate classes for Truck, 2wd and 4wd.

I've got my Predator 4wd buggy built so will give that a crack this season. As long as its an open category as it's brushless.

Hmm, dunno about a predator on the west coast, or any aussie tracks. I think it's designed for a smoother flatter surface as typically used in the UK.Be interesting to see and i certainly want a look at it though!

Its actually an XRS - but same thing really just minus the titanium bits. It's going to be a suck it and see scenario as far as suitability for the Bayswater track.

slightly offtopic... but hey we have been talkin bout t-tech and 4wds... Nissanmania...if u need parts... i know theres a X-10 (not XRS) for sale CHEAP at Ryper Hobbies. New in box. give Dave a call and say Shadow sent ya ;) !hulk
ok. goin back to topic... FLeggy, when the track reopens, i want no more excuses! bring down the losi 4wd weapon!
Nissanmania, i think if driven right, the x-10 is gonna be a real killer on the track... would LOVE TO SEE IT RUN! especiallyw ith a brushless unit! wooooooooah!
4wd is only gonna get bigger at WC. Theres gonna be the ol regulars: Chris Brown, Webby, Bostock, Wally and maybe a few others... Should be good!!
woooooooooooooooooooooo is she coming out for the states?
nah, i wont be running 4wd for club meets. events only sorry boys.

thing is.... i imagine when we get going,, it will be all mods or nothing?? Personally I would like to see a stock class but it maybe a big ask for that class at WC. :( thoughts?

Yup and it ends with "Worlds Edition". I haven't put this on the track yet so I don't know the ins and outs of the set up.

I can run my brushless week in and week out with little maintenance and I can use it at events. With stock, I would have to worry about brushess, shaving the com and springs etc. Although the initial outlay was much more expensive in the long run I will be saving money. (Assuming I don't break heaps of stuff because of the speed :))
Maybe it is time brushless stock motors were allowed to run at events???
Or perhaps we should have a 540/Sport tuned class???
stock brushless racing is sooooooo close.
sports tuned in offroad will make a great novelty race... fun. !!

you can have any class you want...
... if you have the numbers.
Boony

so can we have a baja class lol
the track is for 1/10th only Boony, with 1/18th welcomed in an effort to support interest in the class.

"rofl. i wish i can put my hand up mate, but me gone back to 2 wheel drivin ;)"
That didn't last long did it Alex?! :D
Well, after experiencing my first ever 4WD racing on fri night, gotta say; why the hell didn't I try it out sooner?!! I'm converted now (I'll keep the truck though, it'll be fun to run it now and then).
Seems 4wd might be making a bit of a comeback at baysie too if fri night is anything to judge by. First meet back after the break and we had 8 starters, plus another that only ran in the final :p It's great to see.
hehe yeh, Fleggs, it was an act of encouragement for you to come out to play! :D
but isnt 4wd awesome!!!? hope we keep the numbers to maintain a proper class..
personally, ill be alternating 4wd with my other bugs (2wd / 1/18th) ... so i may not always run 4wd on a friday night... but if the numbers are there, Im in!
now... just have to find a modified to put in her.. hrmmmm
Flegg i aggree.
I ran my 4wd for the 1st time at the challenge.
Its the best class.
4WD MAKING A COMEBACK!
so does this mean we will see a consistent group of 4wdrivers at WC on a fridya night?
