Many of you may have seen the new shell for my iWaver01. It now has a new home...

There are a few differences between the 01 and 02.

The batteries are set flat on the 02 for lower centre of gravity.
The rear pod has a damper attached on the 02
The front suspension setup is different.

As i am an impatient bastard I have already gone and installed bearing, ball diff, and X-Speed motor.

But it needed something to give it the edge over the 01

That is an X-Speed motor and a ball bearing motor can.

The biggest weakness of the X-Speed is the fact it isn't ballraced.

Problem solved

most of you have probably serviced an electric motor before, but for those who havn't (and this was my first go) it is really easy to transplant the guts of the X-Speed into the ball bearing motor can

I also installed some thick gauge wire while I was at it.

it runs really well. Much faster to spin up and has a higher top end too (well, from the sound pitch it creates it sounds faster)

Vids on the way!

azzachaz, when are you going to start racing it?/

well there is no class for it down at the local track, and I dont think the track would suit them very well.

I want to build a small community here in Canberra so we can get together to race. I have picked out a spot in my backyard with smooth concrete which will be ideal for a track.

First I have to convince my friends to buy some cars, they are too spoilt using mine all the time. My son is getting better too!

by the way, matt, you should see my beer fridge, there's beers on top of beers, the poor little devils hardly fit, the door hardly closes! even the salad crisper is full of beer! hahaha

Interested in knowing what the price of the bare car is for the 02.

Very tempted to get a 02 as well as my Bigfoot and then possible a bare car also. That way I can use the Tx that came with my Bigfoot as the 2nd controller for 2 car racing with the 02s.

I've already got a shelf full of Transmitters of various flavours.

Not quite true. This 02 came as just a chassis, check the first picture in this tread. Just comes with the chassis and nothing else. I have a few in stock
