Hey guys I am currently looking for a radio system for my new EP onroad...I have kinda rounded it down to 2 different radios:

Futaba 3PM
and
JR XS3

I have had no experience with either of these radios...my mate owns the 3PM and says its a great radio and easy to use which is the main reason why I am interested in it but the feature that appeals to me with the XS3 is that its synthesized..which would be useful for when I start racing..has anyone used these radios who can offer their opinion? Are there any other radio's I should be looking at? I am on a tight budget so radios around the same price would be nice..

Thanks

I have a JR XS3 & Sanwa MX3s
Both synthesized and both great radios. I prefer the Sanwa but the JR is much more popular.
But for $100 more you can buy Spektrum DX3 which is based on an old JR TX which is the way most are going these days.

I have the JR XS3 and if a gumby like me can make it work amd find it easy to use it must be pretty simple.

3PK is very adjustable and has many features. spektrum module can be used with it and also a synthesised module if spektrum is too expensive for u

Dont bother with the spectrum if you decide to buy a 3pk the synthasized version has more points of throtle control & break than the spectrum :)
