Isn't a brushless system on such a small truck wasted? Surely, if you were going to fork out the pennies, you'd put it in a bigger truck? I remember seeing a HPI Electric MT with a brushless and it was wild....and controllable.

That said.....I think I want one!

a waste? hell no. I'm getting brushless for my mini-T, cant wait. not the ultra massive top model though, going a mid range system... of course you can control it's "balisticness" with the batteries you use, and also with a USB link cable (program the ESC) etc...

cant wait. heh heh

yeah, where you ordering from? Tower has the mamba competition and competion x priced pretty similarly....might as well go nuts.

Does b-p-p sell them maybe... Ive bought stuff for my RC chopper from them .. LipO battery packs and also Deans connectors. Was going to buy a Himax brushless from Bishop Power products for my Heli but havent got around to it yet

WoW..Had a look at the Vid..man thats fast for a Mini T...Lol Ive got some Thunderpower 3 Cell Lipos for my Heli.. I could use them on a mini T also !!

I've just been reading about Lipos and hearing about peoples houses burning down and shit exploding....scary.

Is it a big deal to just run a brushless with regular nicd or nimh batts?

Lipos arent a problem if you follow instructions. You do NEED a LIPO charger though and make sure that you select the right number of Cells. If handles properly they dont cause a problem.

If you see the packaging swell you need to drop them in a big container of water to contain them and then throw them out. They are also damn expensive. The ones for my Heli cost me about $70 AUS per batter and each battery is not much bigger tahn a box of matches but flight times are 3 time longer than NiMh and the batteries are HEAPS lighter

If your putting a Mamba in a Mini-T, run an 8 cell NiMH pack, and it wont be a problem...your still going to get 65000rpm with a Mamba 6800, or 51000rpm with a Mamba 5400!

Becasue they burn houses down and explode easier than other packs....
:D
