thread to discuss your choice of brushes for 27turn rebuildable stock motors.

lets starts with a few questions:

who makes them and what suits which conditions?

what are the differences? holes? diagonal cuts? x cuts?

spriings: red springs? purple springs?

use the same on both sides or combo till you drop?

From my experiance a harder spring on the + side of the motor and a brush with a fair amount of silver content will make that motor scream ,I also recommend polishing those dreaded bushing to a luster & shim the motor with a teflon shim & use a light oil on those shims .

Not something I think about, I usually ask Dave at Ryper to do the Springs / Brushes / Skim Comm etc, pay whatever is due ($5 - $20 each motor depending on what needs to be done) and trust his judgement but thats just me.
