Just spent an hour down my local park. First time ive used my new truck on a nice big dirt area. Had it doing some nice big opposite lock drifts, plenty of doughnuts and there were a few nice potholes which made for good jumps. Even had about 5 or 6 kids cheering me on to throw some more doughnuts. !clap 8) The wing even came off during a drift, gunna have to super glue that on I think.

Anyway, as you can see from the pic its now very dirty so my question is whats the best way and what to use to get it clean. I wanna try an keep it lookin brand new when its just sittin in my room at home. I never used to worry much about my old elec buggy cause it was just a cheap and nasty toy until I got a nitro, so this truck I wanna keep in good nik.

Easy.....remove the motor and electronics, squirt the truck down with a hose or pressure cleaner, using soap if you wish.

Let it dry, then spray the thing down with either WD40, or tyre foam to make the plastics shiny.

Make sure you clean inside the diff cups, and then grease them up again afterwards.

Air compressor baby! I borrow my mates when I can and it brings my cars back to showroom condition (except for the scratches).

Well, I guess I'm not THAT hardcore....As long as you don't take it in wet dirt/mud that becomes concrete when it dries, it does a perfect job. The air compressor I use is massive.

Balistyc , your spot on mate , tyre foam can be the only way to go .

I dont know how this stuff works but i took my real car to a show once and a bloke mentioned to me before setting it up to buy a few cans of it and spray inside the tyre arches , diff , etc and let me tell you it actually dripped the dirt off and it looked like it came straight out of the factory off the production line .

Go to super cheap Auto or even Autobarn and a can is about $8.50 and will last you about 6 - 8 cleans on a remote car that size .

For the body , you cant go past the normal windex or spray and wipe . Just give it a solid soaking until it starts dripping with the spray and wipe or windex before starting wipeing it with a rag as you will scratch the shell if you just sprat it with a sprinkle .

The best stuff for cleaning is Nitro Cleaner, available from Hobby Shops.....but, its 18 bucks a can and doesnt last long!!

Tyre Foam is the next best thing ;)

i wash the shell in a bucket of water and a sponge.
i also wash the wheels/tyres but be VERY careful not to get water inside them (there' usually a hole in ea rim that goes inside to the tyre/foam. you dont want that foam ruined) so wash them carefully do not submerge.

I give the car itself a little knock on the back with the end of a paintbrush to get the major dirt out, then brush or air-compressor the rest of the dirt out. I dont bother with washing or WD40, mainly coz it gets dirt again the next day/week... plus WD40 attacts more dirt! hahaha.

hack it up
