Asking this for my father who just wont listen to me, and thinks the reason he cant keep up is gear ratio. Even though its identical to my Yoke with same wheels and tyres and motor, same battery, same charger. Only difference is i have a LRP Quantum Pro ESC and he has a cheap GM and i use Deans plugs and he has Tamiya.
Our track (atm) is fairly open and we use a Yokomo Tmax 23T. pinion or final drive ratio would you guys recomend?

I think I'm the only guy witha Pro 4 here, and I have no idea sorry. Why don't you swap electrics once and find out if that's the reason.

He has a new ESC on the way (LRP Quantum) will see then. I think it mainly has to do with the way he looks after his batteries. And that they are cheap crappy things, mine are the same, but newer

Or maybe you're just the better driver?

No maybes about it!
He used to race a Schumacher Mission and had simular problems, so he upgraded to the PRO 4 (sick of changing belts)
He really wasn't happy when i was competitive with the Mission first drive, not as quick as the yoke, but it was broken as usual.
Been testing batteries with a discharger i made yesterday. Fully charged batteries have been taking 1 1/2 minutes to 8 minutes to discharge at 20amp.
Definately battery problem
