OK,
Just for Matto I managed to fix my Thunder Tiger and take it for a spin. A few issues (pull start, suspension, basic setup) have put the nitro on the shelf while I got my iWaver fix.
Being able to work on my cars inside was made the wife less irritable ;)
Anyhow, I took the pullstart of the Kyosho Sandmaster and modified it to suit the TT. Basically I shortened the cord and swapped the spring into the TT pullstart casing. Although both pullstarts had the same facia the hole for the one-way bearing were different sizes.
After a few suspension tweaks I was ready to go. After priming the car started first pull!!!!!
2 minutes into it I remebered why I love Nitro so much!, buckets of power, screaming engine at 40,000 RPM, scaring the local dogs and cats away. Pure Bliss !heart
Nitro's really are a different experience to electric. I think i'll always have to keep one in my shed.
