Just out of interest can any one tell me how many times have 1/18 run @ an interclub ??
The MTs had to turn up to every interclub for 2yrs before WAORMA WOULD CONCIDER the MTs as a class & yes there had to rules and guide lines to be submitted to WAORMA for concideration.

Its a fad. It was big, then disappeared and is now making a recovery. But in six months time, chances are it will disappear again.

Just like Tamiya Mini Racing in onroad at Ryper. That lasted, what, 3 or 4 months max.

well when it was a fad, i was'nt around. as far as I know, i have been actively racing 1/18th on and off for over a year now, so i don't consider it a fad for myself. I think anything is a fad without proper respect and recognition for the specific class. Hopefully with a set of rules submitted to WOARMA, the class wil be taken more seriously by everyone as a recognised race class.

The real problem with the continuation of the 1/18th class is having the people race them. But this can not always be feasible as most of 1/18th owners also drive / race 1/10 sized cars competitvely. Thus lay the dilema.

But if we can get a race schedule together, i think its do-able to race and enjoy both 1/18th and 1/10 rides.

my 2 cents
